on the passing of a weagle
Mood:  sad
Topic: the nana

So, today my nana died.    It was both unexpected yet inevitable, as her move in with my parents and my purchase of her house were just the beginning steps of what we all knew would inevitably lead to the end of the nana era.  How it happened is irrelevant - our goal was to give her final years the dignity that they deserved and in most ways we succeeded in that goal.  She lived a full, long, happy life, surrounded by friends and family, and I suppose in the end that is all any of us could wish for.  Her cat is in a state of shock, but I hope that we will be able to give him a happy rest of his life also.  That is what she would want.  He knows it, and we know it, we just have to work together to achieve it.

Here is todays top 10 list:

Top Ten Things that, if there is a Heaven, I hope they have there:

10:  high speed internet

 9:  Diet Raspberry Snapple

8:  music

7:  good food

6:  good wine

5:  brunch, everyday

4:  coffee

3:  slot machines

2:  late pets

1:  late family members

'cause if #1 and #2 are true, my grampa Jim, Rusty, Fluffy, and who knows who else are welcoming my nana into the pearly gates right this moment.  Godspeed, Nana.
